Last week, while visiting Yosemite, our BMW X5 suddenly showed a “Battery Malfunction” warning. Since we were staying in Oakhurst, we immediately went to a nearby repair shop. Unfortunately, they were not very familiar with German cars and recommended that we go to Fresno for proper service. Our first call was to the BMW dealership, but they told us it would take 1–3 days just to schedule a diagnostic appointment, and only after that would they know how long repairs might take. Since we were planning to drive back to Vancouver, Canada that weekend, waiting that long was simply not an option. We searched Google reviews and found Baroque Motors, a German car specialty shop. We called and spoke with the owner, Arthur. After briefly hearing our situation over the phone, he immediately said it sounded very likely to be an alternator issue and warned us that even if the battery still showed a charge, it might not be safe to drive from Oakhurst to Fresno. We arranged a tow truck and had the vehicle brought directly to Baroque Motors. Arthur welcomed us, let us relax in the waiting area, and immediately started diagnosing the car. We really appreciate the great work and professionalism of Artur & Baroque Motors! He recently replaced a faulty caliper and replaced our rear break rotors/pads on our Land Rover Defender. Though it took a while for the parts to come in ( to no fault of them ), they did the repair as soon as they came in….even staying beyond normal business hours to get it completed. The level of service he provides is not common at most local mechanic shops….and we’ve utilized more than a handful of them. Great communication and updates were provided to us when available. When you come by to get your vehicle worked on, you will find a clean lobby & equally as clean and properly kept garage. To me, that sets the tone of what to expect in regards to how well your vehicle will be treated. If you’re looking for the best, look no further than Baroque Motors to take care of you the right way.

I take my BMW's and Range Rover Baroque Motors for repairs and maintenance work. Arthur is very honest and knowledgeable when it comes to European cars. Highly recommended. Will do business again and again with him.

The shop location is easily accessible. The shop has THREE lifts plus additional two or more spots to work on at least FIVE vehicles simultaneously. The shop is extremely organized and clean. The service is excellent (for your European vehicle). The cost is very reasonable as the owner Artur Safarian will ONLY recommends what it's needed. Therefore, you will not pay for service or parts that you do NOT need. Just compare BAROQUE charges versus the dealership you will know what I mean. I HIGHLY recommend BAROQUE MOTORS for your family and friends auto services. See attached photos.
